Is Downtown Macon Walkable?
Historic Downtown Macon was designed to be a city in a park with wide boulevards and tree lined streets and is very easily walkable. Sidewalks in downtown are wide and are easily navigable for those facing mobility challenges.
Are there tours of Macon?
Visit Macon offers tours every Friday and Saturday from our Downtown Visitors Center throughout the year and special Cherry Blossom Tours during the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Is it free to Park in Downtown Macon?
Parking is always free in the rear parking lot of our downtown Visitors Center.
Otherwise, on-street meters are free after 8:00 PM and all day on Sundays. The garage at 440 Mulberry Garage Street is free on Saturdays and Sundays and any time after 7:00 PM from Monday through Friday. In addition, parking is free on these holidays (unless otherwise announced): New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. When is the Cherry Blossom Festival?
Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival is typically begins Mid to late March and last for ten days. Visit https://cherryblossom.com/ for this years dates.
How Many Cherry Blossom Trees does Macon have?
There are over 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees in Macon, Georgia. The Cherry Blossom Festival and the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission have distributed over 6,500 trees as gifts from the Fickling family.
