Traveling To Macon, Georgia

Airports
Fly directly into the Middle Georgia Regional Airport from Ft. Lauderdale or Baltimore using Contour Airlines. Both ground and air shuttle service is available from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is about 85 miles to the north.

Meeting Venues
At the center of Macon's meeting facilities is the Macon Centreplex, which encompasses the Wilson Convention Centre and Macon Coliseum under one roof, and the nearby Macon City Auditorium.
The Centreplex has more than 140,000 sqft. of space and seating for up to 9,000 guests across these three meeting venues. Plus, the adjacent 220-room Macon Marriott City Center hotel has 5,000 square feet of event space. Other large meeting venues in Macon include the Anderson Conference Center. Conveniently located near I-475, the center has 20,000 square feet of space and a variety of room set-up options.
Sports Facilities
Many of our recreation hubs have an abundance of softball fields, basketball courts, pickleball and tennis courts. The Tattnall Square Park Pickleball Courts can host large tournaments with 26 pickleball courts. Many of our major convention centers are also no strangers to athletic events such as the Macon Centreplex, which has hosted the state-level Georgia High School Association Cheer, Wrestling and Basketball Championships over the past few years.
The University Center Arena at Mercer University can seat over 4,000 guests, while Wesleyan College has dining rooms, auditoriums, conference rooms and more for groups of 50 to over 1,000 people. Middle Georgia State University has one of the finest cross country/track courses in the state, offering running loops of two, three, and five miles and farther. The Georgia Premier Cross Country Course boasts a starting line capacity of more than 100 runners.
