The Film Macon Trail provides a comprehensive collection of some famous blockbusters, independent films, television shows and more that feature sites within Macon, Georgia. Take the same steps as your favorite stars on this self-guided trail!
Macon, Georgia has served as the backdrop for numerous film/tv productions. Our tree-lined streets, beautifully restored downtown area, multiple industrial locations and rich history – plus 5,500 National Register historic structures in 11 historic districts – make Macon the perfect place to film.
Kegs & Stills Trail
Pick up your Kegs & Stills Trail Passport from the Downtown Visitors Center for a guide to the spirits you’ll find at Longleaf Distillery and then on to sample the staple brews and a featured seasonal selection at Fall Line Brewing Co., Ocmulgee Brewpub and Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen. You’ll also receive a brief history of Macon, Georgia’s soulful origins, where musical legends were made and Southern Rock was born.
Collect stamps for each sampled beverage! Return your filled passport to the Downtown Visitors Center to win you an exclusive “Kegs & Stills Trail” growler, two Macon tasting glasses and (while supplies last) a complementary growler fill courtesy of Just Tap’d!
how it works:
- Plan your route: Take a look at the our featured distilleries and breweries to plan your route accordingly. You can also join a monthly in-person tour!
- Check operating hours: Make sure to check the hours of operation of each location.
- Bring your Passport: Your passport will provide valuable information about each establishment and their signature brews.
- Collect stamps: As you sample each item, present your Passport to the staff. They will stamp it to verify your taste tour. Collect 13 or more stamps to claim your prize!

A one-of-kind food trail only in Macon, Georgia! The Macon Bacon Trail celebrates the key ingredient that has quickly become synonymous with our baseball team and the city "Where Soul Lives."
This delicious culinary journey will take you to some of Macon’s most iconic restaurants to seek out dishes that highlight the most indulgent ingredient – bacon! Wrapped, sprinkled, topped, or even as the star of the show, the dishes along the trail are sure to pack the tastiest punch.
