Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration
Overview
This free family-friendly event will feature traditional dance, cultural crafts, storytelling, educational programs, live demonstrations, and music, offering a unique opportunity to experience Native American heritage.
Explore arts and crafts from Native American vendors and enjoy delicious food available for purchase. The celebration honors the Muscogee people, who consider Ocmulgee Mounds their ancestral homeland. Recognized as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, this homecoming event brings together various Native American tribes, blending both traditional and contemporary elements to celebrate the beauty and vital contributions of Native Peoples to Georgia and the Southeast. Visitors will also have the chance to rediscover Ocmulgee Mounds, the Earth Lodge, the Visitor Center Museum, trails, and the park’s natural beauty.
