In 2025, A Flock of Seagulls, plus Big Country, General Public, The Vapors and more make their way to Macon as part of Lost 80's Live, the longest running retro music tour in North America. The event is hosted by Hollywood Walk of Fame DJ Richard, who also hosts 1st Wave on Sirius XM.
A Flock of Seagulls, formed in Liverpool in 1979, is an English new wave band remembered for their smash hit, "I Ran (So Far Away)." Scottish rock band Big Country enjoyed its biggest hit with "In a Big Country." General Public also an English new wave band, featured vocalists Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger of The Beat, as well as former members of Dexys Midnight Runners, the Specials, and the Clash. General Public's hits in the 80s included "Tenderness" and "I'll Take You There."
