Macon Area Habitat for Humanity’s Light More Homes annual Christmas light display brings Joy to thousands each year and helps us literally "light more homes" by raising funds to build homes in Macon-Bibb and Jones Counties.
Flip The Switch - December 9 2025
Flip the Switch is the big kick-off to the Light More Homes experience! Join Habitat for Humanity as they "flip the swithc" on the Light More Homes Christmas light display at Mercer Village. While the light display will be turned on before December, the full program—where the lights are synced to music—begins after Flip the Switch and will run into the new year.
In addition to turning on the lights for the first time this holiday season, there will also be special activities through Mercer Village and a ceramony to recoginze sponsors and program contest winners.
History of Light More Homes
Light More Homes was located at Chick-fil-A on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd for 12 years before moving to Mercer Village in 2020. With the need for a larger venue and our long-standing partnerships with Mercer, the decision was made jointly by Habitat for Humanity, Mercer University, and Live @ Lofts to expand the display and move to Mercer Village. In 2020, Presenting Sponsor Live @ Lofts joined additional sponsors, creating a 52,000 light canopy that spanned Montpelier Avenue and created a gorgeous holiday setting. The display continues to grow and change each year, but always keeps its main setting in Mercer Village for all to enjoy.
