come see what makes his hometown the Song & Soul of the South.
Historic homes, state of the art museums, ancient Indian mounds, unique
entertainment and true southern hospitality make Macon a great
discovery.
Day One
Morning:
Guided tour of historic house museums including the National Historic Landmark Hay House known as “The Palace of the South.”
Afternoon:
Lunch at a downtown restaurantTour Ocmulgee National Monument & explore 17,000 years of Native American heritage
Evening:
Dinner at a downtown restaurantLights
on Macon. . . Historic In-Town Guided Illumination Tour (Enjoy some of
Macon’s most resplendent homes dramatically lit to showcase their
unique architectural features.)
Day Two
Morning:
Guided
downtown tour including admission into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and the Tubman African American Museum.
Afternoon:
Lunch at a downtown restaurantTour the Museum of Arts & Sciences
Evening:
Dinner
at a Macon restaurant and entertainment by the 1800 Club Dancers
(Belles in billowing skirts and dapper southern gentlemen dance and
instruct guests in Old South Reels.)
Day Three
Depart Macon
