A Season Full of Blooms
The Pinkest Party on Earth
Each spring, Macon comes alive in a season of color, flavor and fresh air. Beginning with the International Cherry Blossom Festival in mid-to-late March, when hundreds of thousands of cherry blossoms transform the city into a pink paradise.
Follow the flowered trees through Downtown and Carolyn Crayton Park to celebrate the start of Spring with food trucks, a fair and more.
From Petals to Produce
As the blooms fade, the experience continues just beyond town—where strawberry picking, peach season and farm-fresh flavors take center stage across nearby orchards and fields.
From scenic drives to u-pick farms and rows of field-cut flowers, Macon in Bloom invites visitors to explore the land, taste the season, and experience a side of Middle Georgia that’s rooted in tradition and growing every spring.
Rooted in History
Along the way, step into thousands of years of history at the Ocmulgee Mounds, where open landscapes and ancient earthworks offer a uniquely meaningful way to experience the outdoors this Spring.
Move through winding trails shaped by both nature and history—where blooming trees and open fields frame structures that have stood for generations. In the heart of bloom season, it’s a place to slow down, take in the landscape and connect with the land's enduring story.
Middle Georgia Farms
Buy a Bottle, Plant a Tree
Longleaf Distilling Co. blends craft spirits with a mission rooted in conservation. For every bottle sold, the distillery commits to planting an endangered longleaf pine tree in Middle Georgia, helping restore one of the Southeast’s most important and historic ecosystems.
Once covering millions of acres across the South, longleaf pine forests have largely disappeared, making this restoration effort vital. Through partnerships with conservation groups and local institutions, Longleaf Distilling is turning every bottle into a small step toward rebuilding these forests for future generations.
