Dickey Farms
Georgia's oldest, continuously operating peach packinghouse is a multi-generational farm that has been growing the fruit for 125 years. Find strawberries, peaches, pecans, ice cream and other fresh, local produce at Dickey Farms. They also have classic farm activities like corn mazes, hay rides and pumpkin patches.
Dickey Farms is a landmark in the peach industry, having installed the state's first brushing machine to remove peach fuzz instead of performing the take manually. From Orchard Rows to Whispering Woods
A Canopy of Color
While Macon is the cherry blossom capital of the world, our city is packed with enchanting trees that beautify the streets long before and after peak bloom.
Magnolia trees brighten Macon with white and pink leathery leaves, representing dignity, nobility and femininity. Crape Myrtles diversify our color palette with pink, white, red and purple shades. Flowering Dogwood trees are native to Macon, with berries and white and pink petals that twirl into a five-point formation.
Longleaf Distilling Co.
Longleaf pines are native to the region and are now endangered, along with 29 species of animals and plants that are unique to the ecosystem. The forest used to be the largest in North America, but now only 3% of the original coverage remains.
To combat this risk of extinction, Longleaf Distilling Co. has pledged to plant a baby pine for every bottle sold. They planted 85,000 trees in 2025 and are not stopping any time soon. Having planted every tree possible on their current land, Longleaf Distilling Co. is planning to continue planting elsewhere, stretching the forest back to its original size, one pine at a time.
