The Lights On Macon Illuminated Tour showcases architecture styles of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Carefully researched and presented, the self-guided tours are designed to highlight the intricate differences between Craftsman, Gothic, and Victorian styles. Come admire the towering fluted columns of the Revival periods, the swirling corbels of the Italianates, and the abundant decoration of the Victorian styles. The tour features over 50 Victorian mansions and homes.
The Lights on Macon Tour is presented by the InTown Neighborhood Association and is funded by a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia.
“Macon is a perfect example of a small Southern city, centrally located in Georgia and less than an hour from Atlanta, that has many historic homes restored for public appreciation.” says Kate Aultman, President of the InTown Macon Neighborhood Association. “We partnered with Visit Macon and 100.9 The Creek FM to begin what we hope will build into a recurring porchfest and show off our beautiful InTown neighborhood!”
