Watercolor Travel Journaling Class
Overview
Learn how to capture memories with watercolor in this 4-week class. Instructor Kari Waltz will guide you step-by-step to draw and paint images in your own small travel journal.
Urban Sketching is one form of this process, and if you have ever wanted to sketch while you are exploring a new destination, then this class is for you. Kari will show you a variety of methods to simplify the scene and different ways to start an entry. You'll learn about the essentials for making your own watercolor kit for traveling, brush up on the basics of painting in watercolor, and refine drawing techniques to give you more confidence. We will practice several scenes before we venture outside and work from life.
The cost for the entire course is $205 for non-members, $175 for 567 members, and includes a small blank journal, your paint brush, and all other travel kit supplies for you to keep. The class is limited to 8 people for more individual attention. It will meet on Tuesdays, 6:00-8:30 pm, starting June 3. Ages 16 and up.
