The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce invites you to our Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification Workshop on Wednesday, June 26, with support from Georgia Power. Whether you\'re a startup or a growing small business, this hands-on event will walk you through the steps to becoming a certified MBE through the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC).
Enjoy lunch, network with local leaders, and learn how this certification can unlock access to major corporate and government contracts.

Who Should Attend?-Ethnic minority-owned, for-profit businesses headquartered in Georgia-Business owners looking to scale and compete for corporate contracts-Entrepreneurs interested in long-term supplier relationships
The Certification Criteria:To become a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council, your business must meet the following requirements...-Majority ownership (51%) by one or more qualifying ethnic minorities (Asian Pacific, African American, Hispanic, Native American, or Asian Indian)-Day-to-day operations and control of the business by ethnic minority owners-Owners must be US citizens-Ethnic minority owner holds the highest executive position in the company (CEO, President, Chairman, Principal, etc.)-Headquartered in Georgia.-The company is a for-profit business. Non-profit organizations are not eligible for certification.
