Overview
The Douglass Theatre's BHM FILM SERIES is an annual curated selection of film screenings that encompasses inspiring cinematic treasures, past and current, that illustrate a piece of Black History and African American storytelling that are entertaining and enlightening. From documentaries to action stories, the film series is one that inspires. It is sponsored by Cox Communications.

FEB 20: Stomp the Yard (2007). When his brother is murdered, a street dancer moves to Georgia to work his way through college to further his educationa nd earn his degree. He joins a fraternity's step dancing team for a competition, which open his eyes and heart to a new brotherhood. This movie will be celebrated with the the theatre's 105th year celebration entitled Homecoming Week and will include a mixer, kickback, and gamenight in partnership the Divine 9 Fraternities and Sororities.
