History
The South of Atlanta Festivial is Brent Cobb's tribute to the place that shaped his sound, Macon Ga. Cobb started writing songs for country music legends such as Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and more, before breaking out with his hits such as "Black Creek", "Diggin' Holes", and "Keep 'Em on They Toes".
Now as a country music star, Brent Cobb came back to Macon to established the annual "South of Atlanta Fest" in 2025. This is the city that shaped his sound, with many of his songs being created right here. Cobb honors the musicians of Macon before him, such as The Allman Brothers, who's home "The Big House" hosts the kickoff concert (May 1), and supports the rising stars in today's country/americana music scene, with American Aquarium, Tabacco Road, and Kristina Murry preforming at the 2026 festival, alongside Cobb.
