The Rookery
Overview
The Rookery is one of Macon's most noticeable landmarks. Located in the geographical center of downtown Macon, the Rookery has been a gathering place since Jimmy Carter ascended the White House and Capricorn Records was a world known hit maker. With its large patio extending into Cherry Street, locals and tourists alike have made the eatery and bar a home for relaxation and good fare. The Rookery is the home of Bragg Jam, Macon's largest and most eclectic music festival. The Rookery is also the home of the Allman Burger, the Big "O", and the Gram Parson's Cosmic Club.
