The Piedmont Grand Opera House
Overview
The Grand Opera House, from its earliest iteration as the Academy of Music, has spent much of the past thirteen decades finding its way to consistently fulfill the expectations for greatness that were thrust upon it. It’s a survival story on a par with few others, with one of the greatest payoffs for Macon's residents in American theatre history. Arguably more than any other cultural institution in town, The Grand has penetrated deep into the fabric of Macon life, and it is not unusual to find third and even fourth generations of families coming to Grand for its amazing shows and events just as their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents did.
If you’re looking for a convenient downtown location where your employees can gather for a conference, large meeting, cocktail hours and Christmas parties, The Grand provides a gorgeous and well-appointed space.
The large CenterState Reception Room includes a large TV monitor perfect for displaying presentations. There will also be ample tables and seating and a large bar area that can be opened for your event. The bar area could also serve as a space to set up outside catering. The Encore Room also has a bar area making it equally suitable for receptions and mingling.
