This all-inclusive day tour and farm experience offers a seamless journey through the heart of Georgia’s agricultural heritage. Your registration covers every experience, including guided farm tours, hands-on activities, and a farm-to-table lunch—allowing you to focus entirely on the beauty and bounty of Middle Georgia.
What does your tour day look like? In the morning, we’ll begin the experience with history and hand-picked blooms with a Floral Bouquet Workshop & Horse Interaction at Mystic Grove Farms - Your visit includes a hands-on session at the floral bouquet bar, where you will select and cut fresh seasonal flowers to create your own arrangement. You’ll also learn about small-flock egg production and can interact with and feed the residents’ horses. Then, the Century-Old Heritage Tour at Skipper Family Farms. Walk the grounds of a farm that has been in the same family for over 100 years. This guided visit explores the legacy of seasonal specialty crops like pumpkins and Christmas trees. The stop includes access to their farm store, famous for heritage pecans and artisanal preserves.
In the afternoon, we’ll move to Flagship Orchards & Sustainable Fields with a Farm-to-Table Lunch & Industry Tour at Lane Southern Orchards where you’ll visit the largest combined peach and pecan grower in the United States. Your stop at this "Georgia Grown" flagship includes a fully catered on-site lunch. Afterward, explore the massive packing operations and sample unique seasonal offerings while learning about the large-scale production that feeds the nation. Then, we’ll venture to a Niche Markets & Sustainability Workshop at Field Cut Flowers. This session focuses on the entrepreneurial side of niche farming. You’ll tour the blooming U-Pick fields and learn how sustainable, small-scale operations provide high-quality, fresh-cut products to the local community.
Your tour completes the loop back at the Visitor Center. You will depart with your hand-crafted floral bouquet, a wealth of agricultural knowledge, and a true taste of Middle Georgia’s hospitality.
