Headquartered in the United States, the company began in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald and later reorganized their business as a hamburger stand using production line principles. We now recognize the company as the home of the Golden Arches and it's famous slogan, "I'm Lovin' It".
