An integral figure in this songbook of success is credited to musician and record producer, Paul Hornsby! After a fateful phone call from Duane Allman in the early days of both of their careers (predating The Allman Brothers Band) both Duane and Gregg Allman asked to play in Paul's band, "The Hourglass." While life pulled the band members in different directions, Paul followed the brothers to Macon to become a producer, session musician and studio engineer at Capricorn Records. He went on to produce gold and platinum records at Capricorn Sound Studios for artists including the Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band and Wet Willie!
Paul Hornsby continued creating music in the soulful haven of Macon, leading to the opening of Muscadine Studios, which remains open to this day.
