Macon Concert Association presents Balourdet Quartet
Overview
Balourdet Quartet began in 2018 with the friendship of violinists Justin DeFillippis, Angela Bae and cellist Russell Houston at the Taos School of Music. They were joined with violist Benjamin Zannoni at Rice University and the quartet was formed. After one year at Rice University and a summer at the Aspen Music Festival they took second prize at the Nielsen International String Quartet Competition and were selected as the only quartet admitted to Boston's New England Conservatory Professional String Quartet Program. Recent highlights include debuts at Carnegie and Wigmore Halls and a residency at Jacobs Schools of Music at Indiana University.
